The Seaflor Puka Shell substrate is a perfect addition to the finer sand in reef aquariums where burrowing animals live. Jawfish such as hole diggers, blennies and burrowing crustaceans particularly appreciate this “building material”.

pH stabilizer and supplement for DSB systems

This substrate is a perfect mussel substrate. It helps stabilize the pH value. Aruba Shell can be used as a colored supplementary substrate for finer sand types. Also suitable as a 5 – 10% supplement for DSB systems (Deep Sand Bed method) to stabilize the extremely fine sand required for a DSB system and protect it against drifting during strong currents.
